Three Year University Courses

This global mod changes university course length from four years to three years (eight semesters to six)

  • Freshers will transition straight to juniors
  • Existing sophomores will transition to seniors

Freshers will be able to change their aspiration(s) before becoming juniors, and will automatically declare a major if they haven't already done so.

Conflicts

The mod changes one BHAV (0x200C 'Function - Next Semester') in the Major semi-globals (group 0x7F17E3A4), so will conflict with any mod that does the same.

  • Known TO CONFLICT with "Harder Grades - Term Paper Required" by Ancient Highway (see Installation below)
  • Known TO CONFLICT with "Semester Changes" at cyjon.net

Compatibility

Compatible with "Faster University Education" (so if you really wanted to you could have University last only six days!)

  • Works with all versions of the game from Uni to M&G

Installation

There are ten versions of this mod, install ONLY ONE!!!

Install ONLY the first one that corresponds to any expansion packs you have

  • If you have Mansion & Gardens, Apartment Life or Free Time (or the Ultimate Collection), use ThreeYearUniversity_FTorALorMG.package
  • If you have Bon Voyage or Seasons, use ThreeYearUniversity_SSNorBV.package
  • If you have Pets or Open For Business, use ThreeYearUniversity_OFBorPETS.package
  • If you have Night Life, use ThreeYearUniversity_NL.package
  • If you have only University, use ThreeYearUniversity_UniOnly.package
  • Why are you still reading this list? If you have only the base game, you can't send teens to university! :)

If you play with "Harder Grades - Term Paper Required" (ah_HarderGrades_TermRequired.package), remove that package and use the ThreeYearUniversity_Xyz_TermPaperRequired.package (where Xyz is the appropriate suffix as given above)
