3 - Out Clubbing
Nearing the club, Helen could see the bouncers checking IDs.

Their date was doomed before it had even started.
Nathan grabbed Helen's hand and tugged her into an alley, "This way, we can sneak in via the kitchens. Natasha used to work here when it was a seafood restaurant."
Helen's eyes adjusted to the general darkness of the club, her vision impaired by the erratic flashing of the overhead, multi-hued, rotating lights. The music was so loud that her brain shut down her ears; however, she could still feel the beat vibrating through the floor and bouncing off the walls. She saw Nathan's lips move and then felt his hand slip into her's, fingers entwining, as he lead her onto the dance floor.
They danced.

Nathan was clearly trying very hard to hold her gaze, but his eyes kept dropping to her new pendant.
They smustled.

Helen mused that if Nathan's smile was any wider the top of his head would come off.
They danced some more.

Nathan leaned in and shouted something into Helen's ear, it sounded like "You're a waterfall". Quizzical was obviously not the response from her face he'd been expecting!
They smustled some more.

Nathan mimed drinking from a can, Helen nodded, and then pointed towards the Ladies.
Washing her hands, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror, gussied herself up and smoothed the LBD down over her hips.

It had been a great date so far, but she was aiming higher.
On her return, Nathan was placing the cans on a table. As she leaned in for one, he caught her hand, spun her into his arms and began slow dancing.

His embrace was warm, she could feel his desire for her,

she rested her head on his shoulder and slid her hands down his back. Butterflies were doing loop-de-loops in her stomach.

"Oh ..." he murmured. She raised her face, looked directly into his baby-blue eyes and her heart melted,

his lips formed a perfect little O, she closed her eyes, eagerly anticipating their first kiss ... her first kiss.
